Arnie
Life hasn't turned out the way Arnie expected. He was sold as a low maintenance cocker poo and was surrounded by friendly people and children. He enjoyed daily walks and family life, and went to work with his owner.
After a while though things started to turn sour. He turned out to be a scruffy chunky monkey, possibly a Patterdale/Staffy cross. He started to need more exercise than he was getting. No one gave him any training or guidance. Cat's were introduced to the home and he didn't know how to behave around them.
Arnie started to be shut behind a gate whilst the cat's strolled around his house. His lack of exercise, training and stimulation meant that he couldn't play with the children because he was too bouncy. Then the family relationship broke down. Going to work stopped and he was increasingly left at home alone.
Now Arnie spends 10 hours a day in the kitchen and going for a walk stopped. Due to this neglect he has chewed his bed up and all his toys, he has taken things that don't belong to him and chewed those too. Now he just has an empty crate to sleep in and nothing to snuggle with. Despite his loneliness he is irrepressibly happy and keen to play. He loves other dogs though needs to learn some boundaries and manners.
Arnie can still remember the day he went on a big family adventure, walking and running in the countryside and receiving enough exercise and stimulation to wear him out and calm him down. He would like to live like that every day.
Arnie would like a home with people who can provide him with daily exercise, guidance and training. He wants to be released from the kitchen and sit on the sofa with people who love him.
Can you give Arnie the life he is dreaming of? He is only two and a half and deserves better.
